Access to Suite 104 (ADA accessible suite)
Captain’s Landing Waterfront Inn provides an accessible room, Suite 104, located on the first floor of the Inn. Suite 104 is accessible from the gravel registration parking space to a 68-inch wide by 142-inch wood landing ramp adjacent to the accessible incline ramp. There is also a designated asphalt handicapped parking space. Both parking spaces are van and wheelchair accessible.
Details about Suite 104 (ADA accessible suite)
There is a low tapered threshold with a removable 2-½ inch tapered ramp for entering the suite. The front door to the suite is 34 inches wide with a levered handle and opens into the foyer. The floor is tile with rugs. The full kitchen is accessed from the foyer and offers a 5-foot turning space and the counter cutout is wheelchair accessible. The living room is off the foyer and offers a full-size sleep sofa along with 2 small armchairs, 3 nesting side tables and an upholstered bench. A large armoire with 32-inch TV with remote complete the living area. Access from the living room to the spacious 8-foot by 22-foot deck is through an 8-foot slider (opening is 34 inches) with removable ramps. The bedroom is accessed from the living room by a 34-inch wide door and offers a queen bed, 2 bachelor chests with lamps, and removable upholstered bench. The full bath is accessed from the bedroom and offers a tub with personal shower. Grab bars are 22 inches and 30 inches from the bottom of the tub and both are 22 inches long. There is a fold-down seat at the back of the tub, 12 inches deep and 25 inches long. There is also a grab bar, 10 inches long and 31 inches high, behind the seat. The lavatory is 32-1/2 inches from the floor to the top of the lavatory and 29 inches from the floor to the bottom of the lavatory. Drain and pipe are foam covered. The toilet is 18 inches from the floor to the top of the toilet seat. There is a grab bar adjacent to the toilet that is 22 inches long and 34 inches off the floor and a grab bar behind the toilet that is 10 inches long and 34 inches off the floor. The extra half bath is not wheelchair accessible from the living room. The bedroom and living room are equipped with wired and battery-backed smoke detectors.
